Welcome! I'm a science fiction writer living in Denver, Colorado. 

​Facts about me:

• ​I grew up in the Middle East, living in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia before returning to the States for college. I am proudly Palestinian, granddaughter to two Nakba survivors, and will not rest until there is liberation for all. Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free Congo and the world from the oppressive forces of capitalism and imperialism. If that bothers you, you probably won't be a fan of my books. 
• I'm married and have two rescue pitbull mixes, Dunking and Petunia, that I treat like children. 
• I am highly skilled at jigsaw puzzles. It is the most useless skill to have, but if a meteor ever approaches the Earth and Jeff Goldblum needs someone who can put a 12,000-piece jigsaw puzzle together quickly as part of a plan to save the world, go to my contact page.
• As much as I love imagining distant planets and new worlds, our focus should be on protecting and honoring the rock in space that we currently inhabit. 
• My favorite writers include Octavia Butler, Ursula K. Le Guin, Kate Atkinson, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Sally Rooney and the dead Russians (Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Bulgakov). TV favorites include Firefly, Orphan Black, Black Mirror and Battlestar Galactica. 
• Do not despair. Organize, join or find a mutual aid group, and be there for your community. The people, united, will never be defeated.
